I can't believe how fast time goes these days. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was hanging out in highschool with my friends and acting like a fool.

What is it about the tee-shirt? It's a total wardrobe staple - and I mean everything from your plain white cotton ones that are perfect for layering to this breezy, chiffon beauty in a nice deep pink.

Date Night

As you know, Wednesday was my 9th wedding anniversary with the hubs. My mom kindly consented to watch our kiddos and we had a nice dinner out.

Can we pretend for a second that I have the kind of lifestyle where I dress up real fancy and go and have high tea somewhere? Oh wait - I do. Well, sort of.

Deck of Cards

In my first couple of years of high-school my mother used to remark that my wardrobe resembled nothing more than a deck of cards. It was, truly an abundance of red, black and white. And while I wholeheartedly embrace *almost* all the colours of the rainbow in my wardrobe now, there is something satisfying to me about a deck of cards outfit.

Something about the shape and styling of this houndstooth peplum has always felt very Mad-Men to me.

Mom's Night Out

I think pretty much any woman will admit - from day to day, women dress more for each other than we do to attract someone. So when going for my Mom's night out, I definitely wanted to look dressy without being too dressed up.

Back in my fave colour combo again. Seems like my fall wardrobe has a lot of black/red/white in it.

Black out

Generally I would say that I gravitate towards colour. I love bright, poppy colours and it makes me kind of sad when all the stores go to black and grey for the fall/winter season. That's why it's a bit strange that I love this outfit so much. I wore this for a typical day in Mom-life.  I walked the kids to and from school, went over to the church to practice music, fold some things for our church secretary, I bought groceries and went to band practice. Busy, typical, mom-day.
