So 90s

I pretty much always adhere to the rule "If you wore it the first time, you shouldn't wear it the second time" and since stirrup pant leggings, empire waist/spaghetti strap dresses and wild patterns were SO my jam in the 90s, I do try to avoid them when they make a resurgance in the stores.... mostly.

Summer Sunnin

I bought this "dress" probably 2 years ago from one of my fave low-cost stores here in Ontario - Giant Tiger. It said "dress" on the tag, but I have never EVER worn it without leggings underneath.

Wear it Anyway

Oh friends - let me tell you the story of this dress.

I have owned this for probably almost 15 years. It hasn't seen an awful lot of wear and I'll tell you why. I bought this before the hubs and I got married, and I *thought* then that I was "too fat" to wear this dress. It was something I would wear just around the house, never outside, rarely even if someone was coming by. I was embarrassed by how it showed my tummy (which was nothing then compared to now! LOL), it was tight on my arms, and well - there's a lot of boob going on with this dress.

Easter Best

Ah Easter. Springtime, flowers and new life. I love it.

Body Con(scious)

Generally speaking, I love a good dress. Especially a nice solid, rich colour, and in recent years I have actually begun to have enough confidence to wear ones that inch a little closer to the body-con style. Which took a while. I went through a definite phase where if it clung too close to the body it wasn't in my closet.

Leg(ging)s for days

Oh my goodness, #momlife, am I right?

Sometimes I feel like I live in leggings. There are days when getting up and putting on PANTS is just too exhausting to think about, lol.

Shine Bright

I've had this obnoxiously bright orange dress for a little over a year now - and every time I wear it - it quite literally brightens up my day!

Lady in Pink

I never used to wear pink. I always thought of it as a super-girly colour - and super-girly I am not. But in recent years pink has moved from that sweet, pale, baby pink to a much more saturated and energetic colour.

Maximum Crochet

I was so excited to pull this maxi dress out of spring/summer clothing storage.

Navy Neutral

Apparently Mother Nature did not get the notice that it is officially Spring. Because it was -3' C this morning and then it snowed all afternoon!

Double Duty

So - spoiler alert - this is not a purple skirt - it's a purple dress!

Lady in Red

A while back I heard that Suzy Shier was getting a Plus-Size line - and let me tell you, I was excited. Suzy was a mecca for cheap, fun clothes when I was a teen and I had stopped shopping there a while ago because I had long since outgrown their S/M/L/XL sizing.
