I started this blog because I didn't see a lot of women like me writing about everyday, liveable, and most importantly affordable fashion. Style for real life. Real, real life. Not life as a twenty something single girl in New York City. Not life as a part-time model, part-time socialite in some big city in Europe. Life as a woman, a mom, an entrepreneur... a normal, sometimes boring, woman with a budget that doesn't usually include clothes for myself. That kind of woman. And for a while I think I was feeling like I started to get away from that.
On top of that I started to feel really really discouraged with the state of my health. I make no excuses for being a plus-sized woman. I'm a big girl, a curvy girl, a *whatever adjective pleases you* girl. It took a lot of pizza and chicken wings and beer to get this body! But all joking aside I didn't like that I would get winded chasing my kids through the park. I didn't like that I couldn't run for more than a minute without huffing, puffing, cramping and whining. I didn't like feeling weak. I wanted to feel strong. I'm not on a crazy quest to get super-skinny or anything like that - I'm on a quest to get stronger, faster, and healthier all around. So I picked up on running again - something I hadn't done seriously since I was about 17 years old - literally half my lifetime ago. And once I started again I realized how much I loved it - how running feels like freedom and joy. That running makes me feel strong. And I started out only being able to run for about 1 minute... and 9 weeks later I can run for almost 40 minutes without stopping. It feels good.
But I have missed the blog. I've missed you - your emails and comments. I've missed sharing the ideas and style that I can come up with. And I've missed your encouragement and support in making myself a strong, powerful, and even beautiful woman.
All this to say - I want you back, readers. I want you back for good. I'm committing to 2 posts a week - I think that works with my new running and workout schedule. If I do an extra post here and there - well, bonus - but I don't want to try and overdo it.
So whaddya say - will you take me back?
PS - I loved this outfit - it's super comfy and funky. Enjoy.
Well, aren't you just the most adorable! I only just found your blog today and this is the first post I have read....and I can say with 100% certainty that I want you back! You are writing to me, for me, and with me. You have the same mission as me. And good for you for getting back to running and feeling fabulous about yourself again. Isn't that what we all are striving for? Just to feel fabulous in our bodies, in our lives, with ourselves and with who we are! You are fabulous and I want to read more! I do hope you will join my new On the Edge of the Week Link Up this Friday so you can share your fabulous message with other fabulous bloggers!

What an encouragement and inspiration you are Tea! I definitely have let my health drop and I am feeling it (tired, unmotivated) and while the blog land doesn't see that I feel it. I am so proud of you for getting your 40 minute run in now, that is awesome. Welcome back!!!
