A Little Bit Country...

When I put this outfit on I immediately thought of the mid 90s when I was a teenager and (admittedly) wore the heck out of the grunge trend. I mean, ripped jeans, plaid shirts with cuffed sleeves, boots, and so on and so on.

 

Not a Skinny Mini

Talk about stepping out of your comfort zone - when I bought this dress I thought I would wear it as pajamas, or around the house on my own... turns out it looked better on me than I thought it would.

This past Sunday was our Remembrance Sunday service, and our dance group was giving a dance offering. Since I knew I'd be changing into my dancewear at the church, I needed to wear something simple, easy, and quick to change in and out of.

Another side of Me

Something that I don't often discuss here on the blog is my faith - it's not a secret - I obviously talk about what I've worn to church, or what we've done with our church family throughout the week. That said, however, there is an aspect of my faith that actually is very important to me, and involves clothes as well (so win win for me!) - And it is our Liturgical Dance Ministry. Our group, which is named Anointed Joy, is a huge part of my life, and a great passion for me.

 

My good friend Andrea and I are often partnered together - we're similar heights!

When I was in Buffalo with my sisters I saw this skirt at a Forever 21 for a whopping $6. Six bucks!

Because I'm a grown-up

 Remember when you were a kid and you got to pick out your own outfit - and if there was an item of clothing you really loved you just wore it - no matter if it went or not.
