Complimentary

There's just something about using complimentary colours in an outfit. Nothing quite speaks to my psyche like rich complimentary colours.

That's why we love blue and orange together, or purple and gold, or red and green, or, or, or... it's natural. It makes sense. And I figure - why fight it? I love rich, bold, saturated colours and I love wearing many of them at the same time - so by that standard, this outfit is positively sedate!

It's also complimentary in that when I wore it - I got a lot of compliments! Apparently pale skinned women with dark brown and blue hair look great in orange - who knew?

This skirt is one of many that I have made for myself over the years, and it's a nice, flowy, light fabric that just slides over the skin and sticks like a magnet to any undergarment. Needless to say, static guard is a must.

I've dug out my tan wedge slingbacks from my summer shoe box and thought they were a perfectly lady-like addition to this warm weather church outfit.
