Holiday Outfit Planning
I don't know if you're anything like me, but I compulsively list and plan, well.... everything. I'm a lister - I admit it. As soon as I wake up in the morning until the time I'm going to sleep, somewhere in my mind there's always a running list of what I want/need/must do next and then and then and then.... and now that Remembrance Day has passed, it seems like my calendar has just exploded in the last 24 hours - so, naturally, I'm planning holiday party outfits. As y'do....
So I thought I'd share with you some of my faves for the upcoming holiday season, and maybe if you're looking for some inspiration, you can borrow mine and save yourself some time!
First up - Dressy Pants
Now, I'm sure that some of you are like me and hate wearing pantyhose with a fiery passion of seven hells - so I'm totally thrilled at the myriad of options of dressy, beautiful pants this year! I had so many I was loving I had a hard time narrowing it down.
The flocking and jaquard prints I'm seeing everywhere are so gorgeous - they give a real dressy feel while still being totally wearable.
Jumpsuits
Another great alternative to holiday dresses is the jumpsuit. Here are a few really great options - all classic silhouettes and beautiful fabrics and embellishments.
Party Dresses
The brocade, jacquard and lace embellishments and prints are everywhere this holiday season. I'm loving the black on black almost as much as the black over deep jewel tones or rich reds. Gorgeous!
Top it off
If all else fails - you can go with your favourite LBD and top it off with one of these fun blazers. Velvet, plaid, brocade and more lush, rich fabrics.
There's so much great stuff out there - and you don't actually have to spend a fortune. I'm fairly sure (though feel free to go back and check) that there isn't a single item listed here that's more than $75.00. And while I would be the first to say that's a big investment for a single item I feel like all of these are classic shapes, colours and styles that you'll be able to wear year after year. Hurray for classic style being in style!
Tea.
