Grey & Green

Usually in the winter when I dress up I tend towards skirts and tights but occasionally I go back to the same style of grey dress pants I've been wearing for years.

I actually laughed out loud when I looked at these pictures. I can hardly believe it, but I kind of look... well... short!

Family Gathering Chic

Tis the season for family gatherings. Which usually involve a lot of eating and laughing. Evenings like this require a definite standard of comfort in an outfit and this red sweater is one of the best pieces I've ever owned for a family get-together.

Velvet

Is there any fabric you associate more with winter, snow, richness, etc than velvet? It's that lush, smooth, soft feel that I just love.

Black/Blue/Grey

 I have finally given in and made the full switch from my summer wardrobe to my winter wardrobe. All my lovely summer clothes have gone into the storage box - and my fall and winter clothes have come out to play! One of the items in the winter box were these dark grey slacks that I received as a gift last year. Grey seems to be a pretty popular colour come autumn each year, but I love that these are such a dark grey that they're *almost* black... but not quite.
