Naturally blurry

I have had the WORST luck photographing this dress. In fact, I've worn this exact outfit 3 or 4 times this summer/early fall and every single time the pictures come out ever-so-slightly blurry. Maybe I'm just not mean to share these mint/grey chevrons with you!

I picked this dress up off Varagesale. It's from Ricki's and I remember seeing it in store, but I often find their dresses overpriced for what is a glorified "outside nightgown". I have such a hard time paying full-retail price for items, mostly because my clothing budget is basically zero, but also because I have a hard time seeing how mass-produced clothing can be so costly.

None the less - picking this dress up for $10 off Varagesale is much more in my price range.

It is super comfortable. It's nice and long, flowy, so so soft and the colours are much more vibrant in person than they read in a picture.

Now that the weather is cooling just a bit, I added my ankle boots and the trusty jean jacket to finish off this outfit.

Do you feel like items in store are over priced? Or am I just super cheap?

Let me know in the comments below!

  1. What a gorgeous dress on you, the cut is perfect! How funny, I've had some patterned items turn out blurry in pictures too.
I do find clothing to be overpriced, I never buy anything full price. Clearance racks are my best friend!

    1. Clearance racks, second hand stores and garage sales all the way! Plus, it's more environmentally friendly too!

  2. I have outfits like that which I have tried to photograph multiple times and they never turn out. Stripes are difficult, they always seem to appear blurry in photos. But nevertheless, this is super cute outfit. I love the addition of the denim jacket. And I am super cheap, too, which is why I have shifted to shopping second hand more than buying new. Plus it is environmentally better.

    1. I don't know what it was about this dress - could have been the pattern, you're right. Just didn't want to be photographed I guess! LOL.
I have always loved thrifting, but the environmental factor is definitely something we all need to consider as well.
