Memory

So, this may seem like an odd thing for a personal style blog post - but my Gran passed away last Sunday and her funeral was this past Saturday. This is what I wore.

My Gran had been sick for quite some time, and she really wasn't going to get any better, so it was a blessing for her to have passed. And my family (my parents, my sisters, my aunt and I) had the gift of being at the hospital with her, by her bedside for her last breath and to send her from our loving arms on this plane back to my grandfather's loving arms in heaven.

On Saturday we were absolutely surrounded by family, friends and our church family. My Dad and I sang Sparrow by Audrey Assad as a tribute to my Gran and the service was really sweet and touching. She lived a good life, and it deserves to be remembered and celebrated. And she always liked me in green.

I'll miss you Gran. I know that you're happy in heaven with Gramps and that I will see you again someday.
