Faintly Festive

The Advent season has begun and all our preparations for Christmas have started. This is what I wore to church for the first Sunday of Advent. I wanted to dress festive without being too Christmas-y.

Advent is about a season of preparation and waiting for the birth of the Saviour - and I like to mark Advent in our house with things that are distinctly "advent" rather than Christmas.

We have an Advent wreath in our house that we light every night with our boys and we spend time making gifts for our families and friends and decorating our tree and house.

This red cowl neck sweater is an old favourite that seems to stand the test of time. It's a great colour and I love the shape of it. I wore it with this tweed pencil skirt and tiny bit of blingy jewellery and felt ever-so-faintly festive!
