Sweater-dress and Inspiring Bloggers Link up

I picked up this cute sweater dress (tunic maybe?) from our local consignment store last week.

Not that I needed another tunic/sweaterdress per se but it was so comfy and unique - and I just loved the little dog print on the bottom.

I'm always excited to find a piece that's got a classic shape but some really interesting details. The zippers at the shoulder, the print shirt hem and the 3/4 length sleeves all make this go from basic and boring to chic and cool.

I put on my purple ponte leggings and originally had this on with black boots - but I changed it up to flats instead, and I'm glad I did since I wore this to a family Christmas party in the afternoon - and flats are easier to take on and off than the boots would have been.

I wore some funky earrings, a great necklace that was passed down to me from The Hubs' grandmother and pinned my (copious amounts of) hair over to one shoulder.

Sweater dress - Thrifted
Leggings - Ricki's
Necklace - Passed down

  2. Such a cute, casual look! And I'm happy to see someone wearing leggings the right way....with a shirt that covers the butt, and not as pants. Thanks for co-hosting!

    1. LOL Amy - I have very few fashion rules that I must live by but the two that stand out most are 1) Leggings are NOT pants and 2)It's either warm enough for shorts or cold enough for UGG boots - but it CANNOT be both. Ha. I see young girls break both these rules on a regular basis.
      Thanks for stopping by!
