Free Comic Book Day

Do you have comic fans in your household?

Being the Mama to two little boys (and having had many MANY discussions about the merits of Iron Man vs Batman vs Spiderman and whether or not Thor or the Hulk is "cooler") Free Comic Book Day is kind of a big deal in our house.

I seriously considered totally geeking out and dressing up in costume or something... but I decided instead to be totally NOT comic-y that day.
My super-fun handmade(by me!) floral peplum, my acid wash denim pencil skirt and some fun lace flats were the perfect items to wander around our local comic book store, stand in line for free comics, play games with my kiddos and search through $1 comic bins.

We stopped at our local park on the way home to let our boys play for a bit and finished the evening off by going to see Avengers: Age of Ultron. A perfect, geek-joy filled day.

  1. Lovely outfit, and you made the peplum top? Even better. Did you get my e-mail about the 30th Birthday giveaway details I sent out Thursday? I am just making sure as I need to know participation confirmation and money by Friday. Thanks again.

  3. Wow! How awesome are you? You go mommy of two! I love the pretty floral peplum top you made. Such great talent to be able to sew your own clothes. It is a hobby I aspire to start soon. Maybe I will over the summer break with the kiddies. Hopped over from all about you linkup :)
